Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of our most asked questions. If you have any other questions please give us a call at 606-568-8993.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: For the trail rides the rider must be at least 11 years old. For our guests under 11 we offer 30 minute 'Pony Rides' at the barn where they will be assisted in riding their own horses.

Q: How many guests can ride at one time?

A: We only take groups of up to 5 out at a time for now. If you are with a group that would require more than one tour we are happy to set some activities up at the barn for the guests awaiting their rides.

Q: Will we be riding with other groups?

A: No, we do our best to keep our groups small and private.  You will be riding with 1-2 of our guides and be the main priority for them the duration of your ride.

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: No, so far most our guests have been wonderful about communicating with us when they have needed to reschedule. We understand that things happen that are beyond any of our control. We may have to change this at some point in the future if it becomes an issue but for now we just ask that you please let us know ASAP if you need to reschedule or cancel so we can rebook your appointment slot.

Q: Can we extend our ride if we want to ride longer when we get there?

A: It is a possibility to be able to extend it after you arrive but it is not guaranteed and through peak season, especially weekends, we do not have a lot of extra availability to do so. We recommend booking an extra hour if you think you may not be tired of riding after the first hour.

Q: Is riding double permitted?

A: Unfortunately not, if there is only one child in the group and they are under 45lbs they may ride with the lead guide on the ride. This does need to be discussed when you book your appointment.

Q: Is there a weight limit?

A: Yes, with the horses we currently have that are guest ready we have to apply a 250lb weight limit.

Q: How do we pay?

Payment are accepted the day of the ride and can be received by Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle or cash. We not accept credit/debit card payments at this time.

Q: When is the best time to ride?

A: Anytime! It can be hot while we are at the barn matching horses and riders and getting in the saddles and ready to go but after we leave we are under the cover of the forest and the temperature drops enough that it is more comfortable while we are on the trails.

Q: Can I bring drinks or snacks?

A: Absolutely! On our 2+ hour rides we encourage you to. We have horn bags and saddle bags we can carry them in.

Q: When are you open?

A: We are open 7 days a week, by appointment only. Same day reservations are available but not guaranteed.

Q: Is there any kind of dress code?

A: We asked that you wear pants(jeans if possible) and closed toe shoes.
